Privacy Notice

Last updated: 26 August 2026

This site is run by The Citizens Foundation — University of Saskatchewan Chapter. The event site is run by the chapter, not by the University. We use it for event sign-ups and payments.

What we collect

Your name and email, plus whatever the event asks for — a meal choice, a t-shirt size, or dietary restrictions. Anything marked optional really is optional.

If you pay by e-Transfer, our system reads the notification from our bank, which shows the sender's name, email and amount. We never see your banking details. We also keep a scrambled, shortened value derived from your network address to stop automated sign-ups; it is deleted after about two hours.

How we use it

Your name and email register you and let us send your confirmation. For paid events, your email is how we match your e-Transfer to your registration — that is why we ask you to pay from the same address. Dietary answers help us plan food. Organisers can see your registration to run the event. Amazon Web Services hosts the site, an email service sends confirmations, and your bank and Interac handle payments.

No advertising, analytics or marketing trackers, and no tracking cookies on the sign-up page. We don't sell or rent your information. We keep registration and payment details only as long as we need them to run events and keep our records; bank notification emails are deleted after 90 days.

Questions or requests

Email events@tcfusask.ca — to ask what we hold, correct it, or have your registration removed. If you've already paid, mention it, as we may still need to keep a record of that payment. If any of this changes, we'll update this page.
